Konya Başkanlık Kompleksi, şehir merkezinde birbirinden dönem ve biçim olarak farklı iki yapı ile onları kent zeminde bir araya getiren revaklı avludan meydana geliyor. İlk yapı, Birinci Ulusal Mimari dönemin özelliklerini taşıyan, koruma kurulu tarafından tescillenen, 1924 tarihli Kız Muallim Mektebi. Mimar Muzaffer tarafından tasarlanmış. İkinci yapı ise, okulun bahçesinde yer alan, 1960’larda inşa edilen modernist spor salonu binası. Mimari bilinmiyor.
Konya Administration Complex consists of two buildings in the city center, different in period and form, and a courtyard that brings them together on the urban ground. The first building is the Girls Teachers’ School dated 1924, bearing the characteristics of the First National Architectural period; registered by the conservation board. It was designed by Architect Muzaffer. The second is the modernist sports hall built in the 1960s, in the school’s garden. It’s architect is unknown.

Teğet’in önerisi, ilkinden farklı olarak tescilsiz olan bu binanın da biçimsel ve işlevsel potansiyelinin değerlendirerek yeniden işlevlendirilmesiydi. Aynı parselde yer alan farklı dönemlere ait bu iki binayı birbirine ve kent zeminine bağlayan bütüncül peyzaj müdahalesi ile, mekansal olduğu kadar kent ve toplum hafızasında da süreklilik sağlanması hedeflendi.
Teğet’s proposal was to re-use the sports hall by utilizing its formal and functional potential, even if it is not registered by the authorities. With the comprehensive landscape intervention connecting these buildings to each other and to the urban ground, it was aimed to ensure not only the continuity of space but also the urban and collective memory.
Restore edilen iki yapı, kültür-sanat, eğitim ve ofis gibi programlarla yeniden işlevlendirilerek kamunun kullanıma açıldı. Proje, alamet-i farikası olan ve iki kota yayılan sakin peyzajı ile önceleri parçalanmış olan şehir zeminini sürekli kılarak büyük ölçekli, kamusal bir yeşil alan sağladı.
The restored buildings were re-functioned with public programs such as culture-art, education and offices. The project provided a large-scale green space by connecting the previously fragmented urban floor with its tranquil garden spreading two levels.
