Teğet Architectural Office, first established at Ankara in 1996, has been practicing in Istanbul since 2000. Housing talented architects in its structure, Teğet has a resemblance of school of architecture and design while it is not only a professional architectural office but an authentic design studio putting a different practice.
Team has been practicing with a wide spectrum of scale and content, from single family dwellings to large scale urban interventions and taking every single subject as a multi-dimensional architectural research. The genuine effort and hard work are accurate keywords for Teğet’s approach to every phase of the project. Addressing the potentials, boundaries, possibilities and contributions to the architecture of the project with an awareness and professional sensitivity, increases the value and originality of the project. This characteristic of the office is a distinctive feature enriching the relations of partners and employers, making outcome of the projects priceless. Mehmet KÜTÜKÇÜOĞLU
Born in Zurich in 1967. Mehmet Kütükçüoğlu got his Bachelor’s degree in METU Department of Architecture (1989) and his Master’s degree from SCI-ARC (1992) in Los Angeles. Has been carrying out projects and research on architecture and urban design at Teğet since 2000 as co-founder. Lectured in SCI-ARC, METU, ITU, Istanbul Bilgi University, Yildiz Technical University and Politecnico di Milano at undergraduate and graduate levels. He was a member of the Board of Directors in Bilgi University Master Degree Programme in Architecture. Has articles about city and architecture in various sectoral publications.
Ertuğ UÇAR
Born in Antalya in 1971. Ertuğ Uçar got his Bachelor’s (1993) and Master’s (1999) degree in METU Department of Architecture. Has been carrying out projects and research on architecture and urban design at Teğet since 2000 as co-founder. Contributes to the educational processes either as a lecturer, or a jury member at undergraduate and graduate levels in Yıldız Technical University, Istanbul Bilgi University and ITU. Aside from articles about city and architecture, Uçar has novellas and story books published.
Özay ÖZKAN
Born in Balıkesir in 1980. Özay Özkan got his Bachelor’s (2004)and Master’s (2008) degree in METU Department of Architecture. Özkan, as the design director of the office since 2012, is present in all processes of the projects. Became a partner at Teğet in 2023. Lectured in Kadir Has University and TED University at undergraduate and graduate levels.
