Tashkent City Cabaret Theater

Main design approach for cabaret theater project was to create a unique hybrid scheme of performance spaces accordingly to the requirements of programs. Dining area is articulated in terms of 3d dimensional relations between spectators/diners and stage. Once the main layout is defined, different stage configurations are studied.

Tectonics and architectural form are shaped by the location and tradition. The bright colors of tiled domes, wooden structure of Uzbek tents are studied and reinterpreted. Surrounded by fairly high buildings, 5th façade is defined for 2 storey theater with Uzbek tiles to draw attention. Volume of the main hall, on the other hand, is increased with a dome made of wooden framework to enrich the atmosphere and experience of users.
